The Zambia e-Visa is an electronic visa that permits the holder to travel to Zambia for sightseeing, trade and transit purposes.

The Zambian government introduced eVisa as a simple method to obtain the required visa for the country through an online application system in 2014.

The Zambia e-Visa includes single-, double- and multiple-entry e-Visas that can be obtained completely online prior to entry, saving you time at immigration. The e-Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.

All applicants can enter Zambia and stay for up to 90 days within a period of 3 months. After you get your approved visa you need to print it out to show your evisa to Immigration officials. Zambia evisa fee is different for different types it can be 101 USD, 203 USD, and 132 USD.

All passengers can select from:

  • Single Entry e-Visa – Allows one entry into Zambia and is valid for 90 days from date of issue.
  • Double eVisa: Allows two entries into Zambia for 90 days.
  • Multiple Entry e-Visa: Valid for 90 days and allows multiple entries.

Additionally, you can choose from two additional options:

Electronic Transit Visa: Valid for 7 days from date of arrival and allows multiple entries for transit purposes.

KAZA UNIVISA: This is an online visa designed for travelers who want to visit Zimbabwe and Zambia. You can stay in any country for 30 days.

Before submitting your application, you must prepare all the necessary documents for your online visa to be approved. So make sure you have a valid passport and other required documents.

It is very important that you enter all information correctly when submitting your online application. Any errors in the form can delay the process.

Zambia e-Visa Online Application Guide:

  1. Use the panel on the left to select your travel reason. Click “Apply online” to start filling out the application. Enter your data, passport details and add other required documents. Double check the data in the table to make sure there are no errors.
  2. Pay the e visa fee with any online payment method available online.
  3. Check your email to get the confirmation number. This confirmation number will be sent to you via email.

Final processing time is all up to the Zambia Government.

The validity period of the Zambia eVisa depends on the type. Pick the option that best suits your needs. Online visas are available for:

  • Single, Double, Multiple: 90 days from date of issue.
  • Online transit visa: 7 days from date of arrival
  • KAZA Online Visa: 30 days from issue date

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you wish to enter Zambia.

If you are a national of one of the countries covered by the Zambia e-Visa, you can apply for a transit visa online. This type of entry permit allows you to stay in Zambia for 7 days from the moment you arrive.

Caution! The e-transit visa allows you to cross the border into Zambia by land only. This type of permit does not allow air travel for transit purposes.

If you want to travel by air, you must apply for one of the types of e-tourist visas.

Upon arrival, customs officers will check two important documents. Be sure to bring the following documents with you when traveling:

  1. Valid passport (more than 6 months from date of arrival)
  2. A printed copy of your Zambia online visa.

Required Documents for Zambia E-visa

In addition to a passport valid for 6 months, other conditions must be met before submitting an application. Please prepare all these documents before applying to ensure a successful application.

  • Each applicant must attach the following documents:
  • A digital photo of the bio data page of the applicant’s passport
  • Applicant photo
  • A copy of your return ticket.
  • Letter of introduction to the Director of the Immigration Bureau.
