Basic information about the UAE e-Visa
The UAE e-Visa is an e-Visa introduced by the UAE government in 2019 to allow foreign tourists to visit the UAE for short-term tourism.
The e-Visa system greatly simplifies the entire visa process by allowing travelers to obtain their immigration documents completely online.
There are four different types of e-Visa in the UAE and depending on the type of e-Visa chosen, the holder can stay in the UAE for 96 hours, 30 days or 90 days. An e-Visa issued for a stay in the UAE is valid for 2 months.
Travelers from eligible countries can apply for a visa online via the website and receive approved documents by email within 3 working days.
An approved UAE e-Visa can be used for travel or transit to the UAE. Travelers can visit friends and family living in the UAE, go for tours or relax with just one document!

Remember that UAE e-Visa can only be used for sightseeing purposes. It cannot be used as a work permit. Online visa holders in the United Arab Emirates or Dubai will not be able to work while visiting the United Arab Emirates. If not follow this rule , can be lead to fine and deportation.

To successfully complete an online UAE visa application, you must first collect all required documents and ensure that you meet all the requirements.

Caution! Every passenger should travel with a valid passport with validity for coming 6 months from the planned departure date, especially for Dubai.
- An electronic tourist visa for Dubai or the UAE is valid for 60 days (two months) from the date of issue. Make sure you are not overdue to avoid extra charges.
- Caution! The passport must remain valid throughout the travel period.
Passengers on international flights through the United Arab Emirates can stay in the country for 96 hours after applying for an online transit visa.
Requirements for the transit e-Visa:
- The time difference between the two flights must exceed 8 hours.
- Passengers must proceed to the third selected destination.
- All applicants must book a proof of hotel accommodation.
It does not apply to the following citizens.

All travelers wishing to cross the border from the United Arab Emirates to other countries can stay for free as long as their stay does not exceed 48 hours.
If your stay exceeds 48 hours, you can extend it to 96 hours for a fee of 50 UAE dirhams.

Required Documents for E-visa UAE
Read on to find out what requirements applicants must meet in order to apply for a UAE e-Visa.
All applicants must attach the following documents with application to get the visa approved
- Photo of the applicant (can easily be taken with a mobile phone or computer camera)
- Photo of passport profile page
- Confirmation code for booking tickets to UAE
Caution! If you wish to visit the UAE by land, no ticket and flight confirmation code is required.

If you need a translation of the birth certificate, the translation must be official and the document must be notarized.
Important Information
- Online visa application must be completed at least 3 business days before your visit to United Arab Emirates or Dubai.
- Each traveler must have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the United Arab Emirates.
- All passengers, including children, must have a valid e-visa to travel to the UAE. An electronic visa is required regardless of the age of the traveler.
- Tourist electronic visas can be extended twice in 30 days (you do not have to leave the country to extend your visa online). However, this extension does not apply to residents of the Persian Gulf, holders of special entry visas, and holders of special 96-hour visas.
- Travelers may be fined and / or deported for predicting their stay in the United Arab Emirates. You may also be denied entry to the United Arab Emirates. Do not delay to avoid the problem.
- The UAE e-Visa grants the owner the right to stay in Dubai or another city for 30 or 90 days as a single or multiple entry permit (depending on the type of UAE e-Visa selected).

The two documents (e-Visa and passport) are linked, so please do not lose or change the information contained in them. Such actions may invalidate the entry permit.
Yes, during the visit to the UAE, customs officers will verify the presence of each passenger with the necessary documents. Each passenger need to have a printout of the electronic visa along with the passport upon arrival. See the Arrival Requirements section for a list of required arrival documents.
All tourist e-visas can be extended twice for 30 days (you don’t need to leave the country to extend the online visa). However, the extension does not apply to residents of the GCC , special visa holders and special 96-hour visa holders. Remember that you have a passport with a valid date and you have to meet all conditions to apply for the extension of your visa.
Visas can only be obtained in certain countries upon arrival online. If you are going to Dubai International Airport or another airport in the United Arab Emirates, you must first make sure that your citizenship is eligible for such an entry permit. However, it is safer and easier to apply in advance using the online form.
