Oman eVisa: Basic information
Oman eVisa is an online visa launched by the Royal Oman Police in 2018 to enhance the visa application process and allow all tourists a short stay.
There are two kinds of e-visas in Oman: one time entry visas and enormous visits visas.
One time entry permit Oman visa allows you to stay for 10 to 30 days and is valid for 30 days from the issuance date.
Multiple entry visas are valid for up to 30 days and are valid for 365 days from the date of issue.
Applicants may visit Oman with a single entry visa or multiple entry visas for different lengths of stay for tourism purposes.
Travelers wishing to apply must go through a fast and spontaneous online application process, including filling out the application form and paying the fee. The processed Oman e-visa will be emailed to each applicant.
If you are eligible to apply for an Oman e-visa, first check the available options. Applicants can choose one among the following types of Oman online visas:
- A single 30-day visa for 104 USD.
- Multiple entry visas for up to 30 days with a fee of 157 USD.
By choosing each type, e-visa holders can travel to Oman for both business and tourism.
Note! All US citizens can apply online for multiple entry visas valid for 10 years from the date of issue. Also, US citizens can stay in Oman for up to 6 months.

Note! Residents of the Persian Gulf countries can apply for an Omani electronic visa if their profession is on the list of professions approved by the Omani government.
If your nationality is not listed above, you will need to apply for a regular visa at the Omani embassy.

A single e-visa in Oman is valid for one month (30 days) from the date of issue. Please enter Oman within 30 days of the date of approval of your online visa.
With a multi-entry e-visa, you can stay for up to 30 days per stay and are valid for one year from approval date.
Note! All US citizens can apply for a multiple entry permit that is valid for 10 years and allows multiple trips for 6 months.
If you only need to enter Oman for transit purposes, you do not need an e-visa if you meet the following requirements:
- Do you have a photo of your ticket to your final destination?
- Your stay will take less than 6 hours
If you are traveling to Oman for more than 6 hours, you will need to apply for an Oman visa online.
After completing the online visa application and receiving the support PDF document at the email address, tourists will need to print the electronic visa. The print can be black and white.
Customs officers will check the availability of the following documents for each passenger:
- A valid passport valid for 6 months from the date of arrival in Oman.
- A printed version of an electronic visa in Oman.
Once your travel documents and e-visa are confirmed, your passport will be stamped with the arrival and departure dates of Oman.

Required Documents
Oman’s online visa requirements can be divided into three groups of citizens. The nationality of the applicant determines which documents need to be prepared and attached to the application.
Citizens eligible for an Oman e-visa must prepare:
–Actual passport (with Valid date) photo (profile page)
–Photo of applicant (taken with mobile phone camera or computer)
Citizens eligible for conditional online visa must:
–Photo of biometric data page of valid passport
–Applicant’s photo
-A photo of a valid visa / certificate from the Schengen area, USA, UK, Canada, Japan, or Australia.
–Photo of return ticket (used when applying for multiple entry permits)
–Proof of hotel accommodation booked in Oman (in case of multiple admissions)
Residents of GCC countries need to add:
–Valid passport profile page photo
-Applicant’s photo
-Photo of golf visa
-Photo of the applicant’s GCCID card (front and back)
Note! All travelers need a passport valid for at least 6 months from the time they plan to arrive in Oman.

Important Information
- Travelers must apply at least 3 business days before traveling to Oman.
- You can only apply for a new Oman e-Visa outside of Oman after your current e-Visa has expired.
- If you change your passport information or lose this document when your passport expires, your online visa in Oman will be invalidated.
- Oman’s e-visa is not a work permit, so its owner cannot work in Oman.If you continue your stay without a proper entry permit, you will be fined 10 Omani rials on excess days.

Both online single entry visas in Oman are valid for 30 days (1 month). In contrast, multi-entry e-visas are valid throughout the year and owners can visit Oman multiple times.
Travelers can apply for a new Oman e-visa if their previous entry permit has expired and they are currently outside Oman. Do not stay without a valid online visa. An additional stay will result in a fine of 10 riyals per day.
