The Nigerian e-Visa is a fully online electronic visa that permits you to stay in Nigeria for sightseeing, trade and transit purposes. Nigeria has introduced an electronic visa system to allow foreign tourists to visit this African country in the easiest way.

There are three categories of e-Visas available for Nigeria. Online visas are divided into single entry and multiple entry permits, which are valid for 90 days and can be used for tourism or business purposes. The third kind of online visa for Nigeria is the 7-day transit visa.

There are three types of Nigerian online visas, each with its own intended use.

Travelers from eligible countries can apply online for one of the following:

Online tourist and business visas are valid for 90 days (3 months) from your intended date of arrival in Nigeria.

A transit visa is valid for 7 days from the date of issue.

  1. Complete the online visa application form. Please make sure all the information is correct and submit the form.
  2. Pay the Nigeria e-Visa Consular Fee (USD 39) using our convenient online payment method.
  3. Documents (application form and payment confirmation) will be sent to your email address. Print the form and schedule an appointment at Nigerian embassy.

Once you have completed the application process and get the required documents, you will receive your eVisa from your nearest embassy.

The validity period of the Nigeria e-Visa depends on the type of entry visa you applied for.

All minor travelers must have an e-Visa upon arrival in Nigeria. The parent/guardian is the person who must submit the child’s visa application online.

If you are from several countries that allow visafree entry into Nigeria, you may stay in Nigeria without an entry permit. Check if your nationality qualifies for a visa online to see if you want to apply.

The only document required to apply for a Nigeria e-Visa is a valid passport. Ensure that your travel document is valid for at least 6 months from your expected arrival date. Also, take a photo of your face with your smartphone or PC camera and attach it to the application.

The e-Visa for Nigeria to get a multi-purpose entry permit costs only USD 39. A confirmation number will be emailed to you once your payment has been registered.
