Laos eVisa is an electronic visa introduced by the Lao government in 2019 to streamline and accelerate the visa application process for all tourists.
To obtain an e-visa for Laos, travelers only need to fill out an online visa application form. This only takes a few minutes. Approved e-visas will be sent directly to the applicant’s email address.
The Laos eVisa is valid for 60 days and serves as a single entry visa and allows tourists to enter Laos for up to 30 days for business and tourism purposes.

A single type of online Laos visa is available to all travelers. A tourist visa is a single entry permit that can be used for sightseeing purposes such as visiting friends/family, vacationing, or exploring tourist destinations in Laos.

To have a Laotian visa online rapidly and hassle-free, you need to prepare the essential documents before the application process started. For more information, see Required Documents.

- Please enter your details, passport details, email address, and other required information on the online visa application form. Add support documentation and proceed to the next step.
- Pay with one of the many online payment methods available when using our services. Please pay the Laotian e-Visa fee (99USD) and check your email. You will receive a unique confirmation number as soon as you register your payment.
- Finally, within 72 hours, you will receive an online Lao visa in PDF format at your email address. Please print it out and bring it with you.
Caution! The final processing time is determined by the Lao government and can be extended if necessary. Always make sure that the information provided is correct to avoid approval delays and issues.
All travelers with an approved online visa can visit the country for 30 days. The e-visa is effective for 60 days (2 months) from the issuance date.

Your passport must not expire for at least 6 months from your expected arrival date. Changes to your passport data, loss of this document, or expiration of its expiration date will invalidate your electronic visa.
Travelers wishing to transit through Laos must have a transit visa. Laos Government is not issuing a separate visa for transit purposes currently so apply for a tourist visa
