The Egyptian eVisa is an electronic visa issued by Government of Egypt that allows residents of the eligible country to apply for a visa online for sightseeing and business purposes.
Egypt eVisa was launched in 2017 to make it easier for travelers to visit Egypt through the online visa application system. Electronic visas exclude the need for costly and time-eating procedures that used to use visas at embassies in the past.
The online application process consists of three simple steps that can be completed in minutes at home.

Egypt offers two types of online visas. Find out how they differ and which one is right for you.
- A 30-day single entry visa valid for 3 months (90 days) from the date of issue. During the validity period, you can visit Egypt once for sightseeing or business purposes.
- A 30-day multi-entry visa that expires 6 months from the date of issue. During this period, you can enter Egypt at any time and stay for up to 30 days. You can come in and out multiple times during the 6-month validity period.
Regardless of the eVisa type you choose, make sure your passport does not expire for more than 6 months.

Please note:
Turkish citizens can only use their visas on arrival if:
- Passengers arriving in Egypt by plane
- Passengers under the age of 18 and over the age of 45
- Travelers have a permanent residence permit issued by Australia.

Egypt offers two categories of tourist visas online. Onetime entry and multi entry. With either type of electronic visa, tourists can stay in the country for up to 30 consecutive days. However, the validity period depends on which one you choose.
Single-entry e-visas are valid for 3 months from the issue date, and multi-entry e-visas are valid for 6 months from the approval date.
Please note that the Egyptian e-visa is attached to your passport. If your passport number is changed (expired, lost, extended, etc.), your e-Visa will be automatically disabled and you will need a new passport to return to Egypt.
All travelers from eligible countries wishing to pass the Egypt on their way to other destinations must first apply for an e-visa. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival and apply online.
Caution! You must receive an entry visa at least 7 days before your trip.
Before coming Egypt, ensure that:
- You have a Valid passport that will not expire for at least 6 months
- You have the printed version of your Egypt e-Visa
- You must have copy of a letter of invitation from company or family you are going to visit.

Required documents for Egypt e-Visa
Nationals of the eligible countries need to upload the documents explained below to apply online for an eVisa.
- A photo if the bio data page of your passport that will remain valid for atleast 6 months from the plaaned date of travel.
- A photo of applicant
- For Business travel only: An invitation letter from the company you working with in Egypt.
- For Family visitor: An invitation letter from the family member you are going to visit.
Important Information
- Make sure your passport will not expire for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Egypt.
- Underage travelers also need an Egyptian e-visa. Applications for minor travelers must be made by parents / guardians.
- Egyptian electronic visas are valid for 90 or 180 days and allow up to 30 days of uninterrupted visits. Transit visas to Egypt cannot be extended.
- Citizens of Germany, France, Portugal, Belgium, and Italy do not need to show their passport. A valid ID is sufficient.
