The Bahrain eVisa announced by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2014 that allows residents of eligible country to visit the country for sightseeing or trading.

Bahrain’s e-visas can be used as single or multi-entry online visas and can stay in the country from 14 to 90 days depending on the type.

The e-visa is automatically connected to the applicant’s passport, so tourists do not have to go to the Bahraini embassy to get a traditional visa.

The cost of an e-visa for Bahrain depends on the sort of entry you choose.

  • 72 USD per stay for 14 days.
  • 115 USD for stay of 30 days with multiple passes.
  • 262 USD for multiple 90-day entries, valid for one year from the date of issue.

All three types can be used for sightseeing and trade related activities.

  • Single e-Visa: single e visa holder can stay in Bahrain for up to 14 days. To re-enter the country, you need to apply for a new entry permit. Cost: 72 USD
  • Multiple e-visa for 30-day. After your entry, your e-visa is valid for 3 months (90 days). During that time, you can enter and leave the Kingdom of Bahrain as several times as you like. Cost: 115 USD.
  • Multiple entry electronic visas for 90 days. This type of entry is valid for 1 year after entering Bahrain. Cost: 262 USD.

Regardless of the type of entry visa you choose, you must enter Bahrain within 30 days of your e-visa date.

Q: What if my country is not listed above?

Answer: Citizens of non-eligible countries must apply for a standard visa at the nearest Bahraini embassy.

The validity period depends on the type of entry visa you selected.

 

  • One-time entry electronic visa. You can stay in Bahrain for up to 14 days. Once you leave the country, you cannot re-enter without a new online visa. It remains valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • Multiple entry e-visas (1)-Valid for 90 days after first entry. You can come in and out of country multiple times for up to one month (30 days) at a time.
  • Multiple entry e-visas (2)-The expiration date is one year from the first entry. Repeated visits to Bahrain are permitted, each staying up to 3 months.

    • A page containing personal passport data in electronic format (digital photo)
    • Return ticket photo

    For most travelers, this is it! However, travelers from India and some other countries are prerequisite to submit other documents. If you are a citizen of India, or any of the countries Marked as in *** or ** on “E Visa in Bahrain: Please read the Am I eligible?” section, above.

    Indian citizens only: Please arrange for a photocopy of the photo page of the applicant’s passport and a copy of the last page.

    Then you need to submit Booking confirmation details in Bahrain. If the traveler lives with the family, a copy of the family’s CPR Reader’s printout may be required.

    IF YOUR COUNTRY IS MARKED ** in “Bahrain eVisa ” section, above Please submit information: A copy of the bank statement for the last three months in the applicant’s name. The current balance is equivalent to at least 300 Bahraini Dinars (about US $ 800).

    ALL FOREIGN NATIONALS RESIDING in GCC countries (GCC visas) are required to provide the following information:

    • Passport’s bio-data page scan photo
    • Return ticket copy
    • Resident card photo from one of the Gulf countries.

Important information

  • The type of e-visa selected for Bahrain determines its validity as it depends upon the type.
  • All e-Visa applicants must be outside Bahrain at the time of application! You cannot reapply in Bahrain to extend your stay.
  • In addition, Bahrain’s e-visa requirements stipulate that only one entry permit can be valid at a time. If you wish to reapply, your current Bahrain electronic visa must have expired.
  • If your passport has expired or your passport information has changed, you will need to apply for a new Bahrain electronic visa.
