India e-Visa is an electronic visa Launched by the Government of India in 2014 to accelerate visa processing and allow all qualified travelers to come India for tourism, business and medical purposes.
There are five categories of Indian eVisa available, depending on the purpose and validity of the traveler’s trip. ) From the time of issuance, holders can visit India for up to 30 days.
.Other types of electronic visas in India are multi-entry visas that are allowed to stay for 60-180 days and are valid for 4 to 5 years from the date of issue depending on the type (business / doctor / doctor) selected. Electronic visas are valid for 1 year or 5 years.
Candidates will need to fill out the application form with personal information and passport details, upload some supplementary documents, make secure online payments and complete the online application process.
An approved Indian online visa will be delivered to the applicant’s email address within 72 hours.

To receive the PDF confirmation email, complete the Indian Medical Declaration online within 72 hours of your scheduled departure date to India.
Air Suvidha’s self-assessment form must be completed and verified by border control.
There are five types of e-visas in India: tourism, business, medical, annual, and five years. Read below for more information on each travel permit available.
- A tourist e-visa is a single entry visa issued for travel purposes such as vacations and visiting family and friends. Valid for 30 days after issuance, holders can stay in India for up to 30 days.
- An e-business visa is a multi-entry visa that allows you to participate in business conferences, meetings, negotiations, and other commercial activities. It is valid for one year from the date of issue.
- The e-Medical Visa is a three times entry visa that allows holders to receive treatment in India. The validity period is 4 months from the issue date. Owners can stay in India for 60 consecutive days or visit on three separate visits.
- An electronic visa of USD 129 per year is a multiple entry permit to India and allows you to travel to India multiple times for recreational purposes in a year.
- The USD 149 5-year eVisa is a multi-entry permit that allows multiple 90-day leisure-related visits over a 5-year validity period. Citizens of the United States and Japan can stay in India for 180 days per visit.

- Payment and processing
Once you have entered the details and uploaded the support document, you will be prompted to complete your online payment. After that, the confirmation number will be sent to the email address on the application form.
The total processing time for an Indian e-visa can take up to 3 business days. Average when using our services is only 51 hours.
The validity period of an Indian e-visa depends on the type of travel authorization selected.
Indian business visas are valid for one year from the date of issue. However, health visa is valid for 4 months.
One time entry Indian e-visas are valid for one month after issuance, but 1-year and 5-year Indian e-visas are also available.
Make sure your passport has not expired for at least 6 months from your expected entry date into India and select the type of eVisa you are applying for.
Do you just fly to India to go directly to other countries? Therefore, you do not need an eVisa if:
- You have an onward ticket to your final destination country
- Your stay in India will not last more than 24 hours.
- Do not leave the transit area of the Indian airport while waiting for your connecting flight
Travelers who do not meet the above requirements must apply for an e-visa to pass through India.
Travelers need to have the following documents when entering India:
- Valid Passport Please note that your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your expected arrival date in India.
- A printed copy of your electronic visa. Within 72 hours you will receive approved permission to your email address in PDF format.
Submit these documents at Indian airports, ports, or other border points of entry. Indian Customs will stamp your passport with a new stamp to confirm your entry.
Due to modernization, not all airports or ports in India can process e-visas.

Important Information
- The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in India.
- India’s eVisa does not give you the right to find or maintain a job in India.
- Indian eVisa cannot be renewed
- Indian e-visas are digitally linked to the owner’s passport. Changing your passport will invalidate your online visa. This means that if your passport expires or is renewed, you will need to apply for a new entry permit.
- Online visa processing time in India can take up to 72 hours (3 business days), but the average approval time for our service is only 51 hours.
