The Thailand Tourist e-Visa is a single-use e-Visa that permits the holder to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days and is valid for 3 or 6 months from the date of issue.

The Thailand e-Visa can be used for all travel-related purposes, including visiting relatives, as well as attending medical and conferences, conventions, exhibitions and promotional events.

The Thai government has announced a comprehensive electronic visa system that allows travelers to choose from nine types of online visas.

The core type of e-Visa for Thailand is the Tourist Visa. It acts as a single authorization document that allows the owner to stay in Thailand for up to two months.

The approved Thai Tourist e-Visa can be used on:

Eligible travelers traveling to Thailand using the eVisa system must first select a specific type of Thai electronic visa that corresponds to the purpose of their visit to Thailand.

All Thai eVisa applications (regardless of the type you choose) must be submitted at least 15 business days before your intended travel to Thailand to allow sufficient visa processing time.

This exception may not apply to Pakistani passengers traveling on certain airlines.

The e-Transit Thailand Visa is a 30-day single entry travel authorization valid for 3 months from the date of issue and can be used for: transit purposes, sports.

Travelers from the 37 countries eligible for an e-Visa to Thailand must have some documents upon arrival in Thailand, including:

  • Paper version of the e-Visa approved for Thailand.
  • Have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity.

Caution! From 1 November 2021, all travelers arriving in Thailand by air must register their visits in the Thai Pass system at the official website of the Thai government https://tp.consular.go.th/.
