Singapore e-Visa: Basic information
Singapore e-visas are electronic visas and are documents that you must carry with you when traveling to Singapore.
The e-Visa application must be processed by an e-Visa agency or a local representative in Singapore.
The Singaporean government has launched an e-visa scheme to allow citizens of 36 eligible countries to obtain visas completely online after accelerating the application process at home.
Singapore e-visas are one-time entry visas that are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and enables you to stay in Singapore for 30 days.
An online visa is required to visit Singapore, travelers must apply at least 3 days before departure to ensure a timely travel permit.
Each applicant will receive an approved Singapore electronic visa as a PDF file by email. The traveler must then print it out, bring it to the airport and present it to customs upon arrival.
Only one type of e-visa can be held in the country for up to 30 days (1 month) by the holder. Travelers can use their online visas for the following purposes:
- Tourism: Exclusive to all visitors who can visit family and friends, relax and explore the country for up to 30 days.
- Business: Solving business problems, signing contracts and collaborations, and engaging in professional activities.
Note! Travelers arriving in Singapore on a business trip must attach a letter of recommendation, Supplementary Form V39A, in order to apply for a visa.
The letter must be written by a Singaporean resident over the age of 21 on behalf of the Singapore legal entity you work with.
If you cannot obtain an LOI from a local representative in Singapore, you can also use an LOI issued by the embassy.

If the LOI cannot be obtained from a local representative in Singapore, the LOI issued by the embassy will also be accepted.
