Australia eVisa Basic Information
The Australian e-Visa introduced by the Australian Government on October 27, 2008 to catalyzed the online visa application process. Both Australia’s eVisitor and ETA is an electronic entry permit that allows qualified citizens to obtain a visa online by completing an application. The only difference between Australia’s ETA and eVisitor is the list of eligible countries.
EU nationals can apply for an eVisitor subclass 651 visa, but Australia’s ETA subclass 601 visa is available in eight of th listed countries.
Approved Australian ETAs and eVisitors are linked to the traveler’s passport and can be used for sightseeing, trade or transportation visits. Valid electronic visa is a must have for all travelers when traveling to Australia. Visa applications must be submitted online and both types cost USD 51.Both entry permits are valid for 12 months and allow multiple visits to Australia for up to 3 months.

ETA (subclass 601)
Australia’s ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) provides enormous entry visa valid for one year (12 months) and allows the owner to visit Australia multiple times. One visit for every visit of up to 3 months (90 days).

If your country is not listed above then you have to apply for a traditional Visa from embassy
The application process is the same regardless of the type of Australian e-visa you are eligible for. All you need is a valid passport.

The complete process would take maximum 3 working days (72 hours). But sometimes it get approved same day.
Remind that complte visa process and its time of processing depends upon the Australian Immigration Service’s discretion.
Australian ETA and eVisitor visas allows numerous entries that stays valid for whole year (12 months) from its issuance.
Note that ETA and eVisitor are linked to the passenger’s passport. If you change your passport information or lose this document when your passport expires, your Australian online visa will be invalidated.
Australian e-visa owners can visit the country several times a year. One visit for up to 3 months (90 days).
You will need to leave Australia for at least 3 days to return. Then you can go back for another 3 months. ( If you have your passport validy period)
